The Move Mentors

Meet MyFIIT

MyFIIT is a unique evolution of its predecessor, Tabata Bootcamp.

Mindy Mylrea’s innovative approach to Tabata incorporated a variety of exercises and movement patterns to keep participants engaged and challenged, ensuring a comprehensive full-body workout. The principles and resources of Tabata Bootcamp, Tabata GX, and Tabata Express have all been merged into MyFIIT – a new certification, website, membership, and program.

With its dynamic blend of variable-intensity interval training and a scientifically proven protocol, MyFIIT is engineered to ignite change your clients – mind, body and spirit. This program can be taught in 2 ways – Group Fitness or an 8-Week Bootcamp style program. Our certification course unlocks both potentials for you.

A play on HIIT, MyFIIT is the next step in offering interval training in a group fitness setting. The class construct offers Tabata timing for the HIIT effort and introduces VIIT (Variable Intensity Interval Training). In addition to the acronyms of HIIT and VIIT, we provide you with FIIT.

MY

Every individual is unique, with distinct goals, preferences, and physical capabilities. Recognizing this diversity, it becomes evident that a one-size-fits-all approach to fitness won’t suffice. Tailoring fitness plans to each person’s specific needs and circumstances ensures optimal results and long-term success. Whether someone aims to lose weight, build strength, improve flexibility, or enhance overall wellness, their journey should be personalized to align with their objectives and lifestyle.

A personalized fitness plan considers various factors such as current fitness level, medical history, injury risks, time availability, and personal preferences. By considering these factors, individuals can embark on an effective and enjoyable fitness journey, leading to greater adherence and sustainable progress. Moreover, personalized plans foster a sense of ownership and empowerment, motivating individuals to stay committed and take charge of their health and well-being. Ultimately, recognizing and honoring the uniqueness of each individual underscores the importance of crafting personalized fitness plans tailored to their specific needs and aspirations.

F-I-I-T

Functional

Every exercise and movement pattern crosses over into real-life specificity training. Practicing and preparing the body for movement in everyday life creates a body ready for anything. MyFIIT doesn’t only include exercises but exercise progressions, modules, and movement patterns that rehearse transitions and agility within and between exercises.

Balance is a very important and often overlooked aspect of fitness and overall movement function. Twice during the workout, a balance challenge drill will be performed to create muscle motor memory – the ability for your body to react automatically when put to the test. This test could be a quick reaction to instability, sensation, or change of direction. Because the body and brain had practiced the scenario in class rehearsal, the body knows how to protect itself when faced with the same situation.

Individualized

This is not a rigid, one-size-fits-all fitness protocol. It offers a range of exercise progressions, regressions, and alternate approaches to each exercise and movement pattern. Just as each person may choose to take varied routes on a road map, each day requires a unique approach.

Intensity

Varying intensities within each workout is beneficial for many reasons. The MyFIIT training will share the research behind the power of intensity and then provide variables and variations to help you provide the correct intensity for each participant.

Training

The MyFIIT Program encompasses a four-pronged approach: training the whole person through incorporating mindfulness, nutritional support, behavioral change, and creating the right workout for maximum improvement in cardio, strength, and functional gains. Along with the MyFIIT workout, the website support offers simple activities, touchpoints, and nudges to cover all four of the program’s key tenets.
